Hello, LPNA Team.

Proposed agenda for Wednesday’s ( August 28th) LPNA board meeting.

1.  Plan an agenda for September 19 General Meeting. (All)
1.1 Plan agenda items
1.2 Who contacts presenter if we decide to have one?
1.2 Zoom only or hybrid at LPHOA clubhouse or at library?

2. Set a date and venue for 2024 NNO review. (All – 3 minutes)

3.  Update on Santa Teresa Blvd. dumping at the road outcrop over the hill. Jersey walls have been placed there. (Greg, all – 3 minutes)

4. Decide if we will have a bbq for 2024 NNO volunteers. Yes or no. Set a date later by email. (All – 2 minutes)

5. Metcalf Energy Plant tours. Greg has contacted the new General Ops Manager, Ted Nguyen.
(Greg – 2 minutes)

6. Quick update on the latest 10 planted trees in the park. (Barbara – 3 minutes)

7. Set a date to inventory/reorganize LPNA’s park room. Date can be set later by email.  (All- 2 minutes)

8.  Other

LPNA BOARD MEETING – MAY 4, 2023 7:00PM

Hello.

The LPNA BOARD is meeting for a BOARD MEETING on Thursday, May 4th at 7:00.

Our Board Meetings are where we plan our next General Meeting (scheduled for June 15th at 7 pm), and we plan future activities such as BBQs, park projects, and National Night Out.  All Los Paseos neighbors are welcome to attend LPNA Board Meetings, to see how the business of our Neighborhood Association is conducted and if you have any specific issues to bring up to the Board.

        1. 2023 SJ Grant status
        2. BBQs and 2023 NNO plans as relates to Grant status
      3. Update on Park projects
        1. Native plant garden – status of plants, status of irrigation – Barbara and Peter
        2. Gopher eradication by PRNS – Greg or Herb
        3. Update on neighbor request for a place of enclosure at Los Paseos Park for dogs and their owners – Greg
        4. Update on request to PRNS to make Park Rules more visible – Greg
      4. Discuss and plan the Agenda and Presenter for the LPNA June 15th meeting. Draft agenda below:

          1. EIH at Bernal Road and Rue Ferrari success stories. (Possibly have a person show up at our June meeting)
          2. Waste Management Recycle presentation? Focus on plastic. Announce Ridwell – Greg has requested a presentation be given at an LPNA meeting.   San Jose Recycling and Garbage page
          3. Announce Waste Management recycle plant tours?
          4. Announce Metcalf Power Plant tours similar to a few years ago. A big success
          5. Valley Water presentation?
      5. Discussion on how to update/improve our communication with LPNA members, and create better member signup methods (from our website)
        1. Create a signup link on our website to Mailchimp?, Constant Contact?, other?
        2. How to proceed from here

LPNA Board Meeting – January 19, 2023, 6:00pm

The timings on the agenda are estimates. This meeting will have a hard stop at 7:00 PM. If a subject carries too long, an action will be made to carry on outside the meeting, reporting to the Board of the results.

Agenda:

  1.  Approve Lynne’s minutes, for posting. (2 minutes)
  2.  Prepare for Qtrly March meeting. Determine agenda, including who will be the presenter. (15 minutes)
  3.  Karen and Greg update LPNA board on Santa Teresa VTA safe parking. (5 minutes)
  4.  Update on the 10 trees recently planted and the previous trees planted (one needs major trimming). Discuss how the trees are holding up in terms of bracing, future volunteer support, etc. (5 minutes)
  5.  CERT update by Herb and Wyman. (10 minutes)
  6.  Discuss setting up a group list, migrating from Greg’s BCC list. We will have to get LPNA members buy-in, educate them of its benefits. (10 minutes)
  7.  Update from Herb on the meeting with Los Paseos Elementary School Principal, District 4, SJ DOT, and SJPD regarding street safety around our 2 local schools. (5 minutes)
  8.  Other, as item may come up, and is approved by the LPNA board.
