    Wondering why another (NA) Neighborhood Association’s meeting is posted on our site?!? Well, you can NEVER have too much information at your disposal! Additionally, most of the NA’s work together to keep all communities informed of issues that directly impact them. With that said, STBNA monthly meetings are held at:

  • Reporting use of illegal fireworks

    From now through July 5th the City of San Jose has an online reporting form to submit tips and information regarding the use of illegal fireworks. You can also upload photos and videos of the perpetrators violating city ordinances and disrupting your community.

    Be safe, attend a professional fireworks show if you must, a list of displays is available at www.sanjoseca.gov/fireworksdisplays.

  • City Update on the paseos renovations

    There are three paseos in the vicinity. One is located within the Avenida Espana neighborhood. The other two are within Los Paseos neighborhood.

    The information below is from the Special Districts Arborist Technician:

    DEC 2, 2015:
    “Just reviewed the last rendition of the plans for the renovation.”

    APRIL 4, 2016:
    “Project for the Paseos is in the bid process. We are currently on track to begin the renovation this fall.”

  • Q2 LPNA Meeting

    For those unable to attend the 2nd quarter LPNA meeting this past Saturday, you missed a plethora of information provided by the organizers, Greg Peck and Ann Hetherton, along with guest speakers:

    A special thanks to all of them for taking the time to coordinate and present on issues impacting our neighborhood. Official meeting minutes detailing all of this and more will be posted when they become available.

  • SJ City Council issues memo regarding Fireworks Ordinance

    At a recent SJ City Council meeting, the fireworks ordinance discussion approved a pilot program allowing additional resources to aid in enforcement against banned illegal fireworks within the City’s limits. The full text of the memo is available below.

  • First LPNA Meeting

    First LPNA Meeting

    Los Paseos Neighborhood Association (LPNA) held its first all member meeting Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Santa Teresa Library Branch. We had 4 distinguished guests from the City attend.

    A SJPD Lieutenant and a Sergeant gave an update on the neighborhood crime status and updated us on the state of the City’s recovery from earlier manpower shortages, plans for the future, and the value of surveillance cameras in a neighborhood.

    A manager from the Housing Department gave an update on homelessness and the City’s response to managing and helping the people negatively affected by any number of events in their lives.

    A member of District 2 office who had helped LPNA get going during last year, and continues to give support and advise as we develop our association.

    We went through an agenda to address the concerns and aspirations of members for our neighborhood.
